Description
The Teardrop Pendant Necklace is a delicate point of sparkle. A single pear-cut clear stone sits in a slim claw setting that lets light pass through it, hanging from a fine cable chain so the stone sits just below the collarbone. It is understated enough for every day and pretty enough for special occasions.
The stone measures approx. 7 x 5 mm and is cubic zirconia. The chain is 45 cm, so the drop sits just below the collarbone, and it fastens with a small spring ring clasp next to a small blank tag.

About the metal: this piece is 316L stainless steel with an 18k gold PVD plating. It is not solid gold: PVD (physical vapour deposition) bonds a thin layer of gold-coloured coating to the steel, which is more resistant to everyday wear than a standard flash plating, but it can still wear gradually with use - faster on rings and bracelets that rub against surfaces. Because it is a base-metal piece, it is not hallmarked. Stainless steel contains a small amount of nickel bound within the alloy, so we cannot promise it will suit every metal allergy - if you have a known allergy, please check with your doctor or pharmacist before wearing it.
About the stones: the clear stones are cubic zirconia, a lab-created crystal. They are not diamonds and not natural gemstones.
Care: to keep the gold colour looking its best, put your jewellery on after perfume, lotion and hairspray, and take it off before swimming, bathing, showering, exercise and cleaning. Avoid chlorine, salt water and household chemicals. Wipe it with a soft dry cloth after wearing and store it on its own in the pouch provided so it does not scratch against other pieces. Do not use silver dips, abrasive polishes or chemically treated polishing cloths, as they can remove the plating.
