Molten Sculpted Stud Earrings - 18k Gold-Plated

The Molten Sculpted Stud Earrings look as if liquid gold has been caught mid-flow. Each stud has a softly irregular, elongated shape with rounded ridges that play with light and shadow, so the pair feels sculptural and modern without being heavy. They are an easy way to add interest to minimal outfits.

Each stud measures approx. 20 mm long and is worn on a straight post with a butterfly back, sitting flat against the earlobe. Each stud is individually finished, so small variations in shape between the two are normal. Sold as a pair.

About the metal: this piece is 316L stainless steel with an 18k gold PVD plating. It is not solid gold: PVD (physical vapour deposition) bonds a thin layer of gold-coloured coating to the steel, which is more resistant to everyday wear than a standard flash plating, but it can still wear gradually with use - faster on rings and bracelets that rub against surfaces. Because it is a base-metal piece, it is not hallmarked. Stainless steel contains a small amount of nickel bound within the alloy, so we cannot promise it will suit every metal allergy - if you have a known allergy, please check with your doctor or pharmacist before wearing it.

Care: to keep the gold colour looking its best, put your jewellery on after perfume, lotion and hairspray, and take it off before swimming, bathing, showering, exercise and cleaning. Avoid chlorine, salt water and household chemicals. Wipe it with a soft dry cloth after wearing and store it on its own in the pouch provided so it does not scratch against other pieces. Do not use silver dips, abrasive polishes or chemically treated polishing cloths, as they can remove the plating.

Hygiene: for hygiene reasons, pierced earrings are sent in a sealed bag. If the seal has been opened, earrings cannot be returned for a change of mind; faulty or incorrect earrings are always covered and your statutory rights are not affected.
